I coined the term, "Potholder Topics," two decades ago in a published article (2007), book (2010), and book chapter (2015).
Thousands of former students, now teachers across 16 states and four countries, recognize the significance of teaching "potholder topics" in Social Studies and why it matters.
My research interests include Teacher Education, Education Policy, Visual Art: From a Kids' Point of View, and The Power of One's Story to Teach History. Cultural Exchange Among Educators.
